Maple Votes is a small fan project. It keeps only what it needs to count one vote per person. No ads, no tracking, and your data is never sold. It only goes to the services listed below, so the site can work.
What we keep
- Which sites you voted for, and the day (not the time). Votes stay until you remove them or the site closes.
- A scrambled code made from a random ID that lives in a cookie on your device, so each device can vote once per site. It isn't linked to your name, so it can't tell us who you are. If you clear your cookies, the site no longer recognizes your earlier votes as yours.
- The projects you add, until they're reviewed; then they're deleted. They're never shown with your name.
- A visit counter, which is just a number.
There are no accounts: we never ask for or keep names or emails.
Your IP address
We don't save it. To stop spam and bots, for up to a day we keep a scrambled version of it, the time of your last action and which sites were voted from it; then it's all deleted. It's also how we allow one vote per site per day from the same connection. If you share a connection (a school, a café, a phone network), someone else may have voted for that site already today. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sees your IP like any web host does.
Cookies
One cookie holds the random ID of your device for a year; it's only created when you vote or add a project. Your browser also remembers your light or dark choice, and when you last visited so a visit is counted only once. Nothing else.
Other services
Cloudflare hosts the site and checks you're a real person when you open the page (so voting is instant) and when you add a project; it gets your IP for that check. The sites listed here can't see that you came from Maple Votes.
Removing your data
Click a vote again to remove it. To erase everything (all your votes and the projects you added), use the button below; it also forgets this device. Votes made on other devices or browsers can only be removed from those. Votes made with the old Discord sign-in (before October 24, 2026) can be removed on request.
Terms of use
- The site is provided as is, for fun and for free, with no guarantees.
- One person, one vote per site. Votes from bots, scripts or multiple devices can be removed.
- Maple Votes isn't meant for children under 13.
- Any vote, project or listing can be removed at any time, and these terms may change. Using the site means you accept them.
